To promote excellence, diversity and innovation in the field of bioinformatics, in 2008 SIB created the Bioinformatics Awards to acknowledge early career bioinformaticians and ground-breaking resources of national and international standing.

The Awards honour bioinformatics excellence in three categories and is currently seeking submissions:

The awards will be assigned by an international Jury. Winners of the Bioinformatics Awards are announced and will be able to present their work during a plenary session at [BC]2.

Early Career Bioinformatician Award

Call for entries: 2 November 2020 - 31 January 2021

The Early Career Bioinformatician Award is an international award that recognises early careers who demonstrate excellence through one or several projects and/or papers in bioinformatics and/or computational biology. Swiss Bioinformatics Graduate Paper Award

Call for entries: 2 November 2020 - 31 January 2021

The Swiss Bioinformatics Graduate Paper Award recognises outstanding papers published by a graduate student in the area of bioinformatics and/or computational biology.
